My mom took our family picture today. We need to take it with us to Ethiopia. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to take it outside.
Today I was busy running errands. I do not think I have ever run so many errands in my life!! I am thinking that adopting and re-modeling our bathroom within the same month was probably not the best idea. Oh-well. I also dropped our dog off at my sister's house. Our dog will be there for over two weeks. It seems so strange not having her here tonight. She does such a nice job greeting everyone when we get home.
The highlight of my day was being at school with my son and daughter. My daughter told me that I only embarrassed one time while I was eating lunch with her. I consider that a success. I told one of my daughter's friends that her outfit was cute but her friend was sitting at the table next to my daughter's table. Apparently you DO NOT talk to students that are sitting at another table. Who knew?? I also had the opportunity to eat lunch with my son and also talk to his class about Ethiopia. His classmates were so excited and had great questions about adoption and Ethiopia.
Tomorrow we get to spend the day together as a family.

Thanks so much for coming to school to talk to the kids today. They were so excited and really did have good questions.We all learned a lot! I know they will be excited to see TJ and any pictures you bring back from there. I am so excited for you. I want you to know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers while you are gone. TJ is such a lucky little boy to be coming home to such a loving family. Someday when you tell him the story of all you did to bring him home I am sure he will appreciate it. I think it's wonderful that you are going to be able to give your son a life that he would never be able to have without you! Be safe, have fun and give TJ a big hug from the 2nd graders and me!

I am glad you have some extra days to prepare for TJ's arrival and time to spend with Tim and the kids. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers and can't wait to hear from Beth on the blog.
