On Saturday we attend a Summer Mehaber event sponsored by our adoption agency. Mehaber is an Amharic word for an occasional gathering of friends and family. They had Ethiopian food, an African animals petting zoo, inflatable bouncers for the kids, games, and picnic food. We were able to meet other families who have either adopted from Ethiopia or are waiting to adopt from Ethiopia. We had a lot of fun and we are looking forward to going next year with our new son!

My you all are becoming culturalized! PYP proud...
It has been very fun to read your weekly updates. I am very happy and excited for you and your family. I look forward to hearing more about the adoption.
Love,
Karen
I am glad you had a good time at the picnic. I will be so happy when your little TJ is home with all of you. Next year should be a lot of fun with him at the picnic too.
Love,
Mom

WOW, that's so exciting! We really wanted to go this year, but our busy schedule prevented it. I just found your blog and am so happy for you about your adoption. Our youngest was adopted from Ethiopia and I can't tell you what an incredible experience being in Ethiopia was, nor how much we adore our little girl.
Hopefully, we'll meet you, your kids, and your new little one next summer in person.
Blessings!
Laurie
